Solution :
Initial velocity = 0
car travelled 100 m in 5 sec
s= 100 m , t = 5 s
we know that,
s = ut + ½ at²
100 = (0)(5) + ½a(5)²
100 = (25/2)a
a = 100 x 2/25
a = 8 m/s²
uniform acceleration a = 8 m/s²
final velocity (v²) = u² + 2as
v² = (0)² + 2(8)(100)
v² = 0 + 1600
v = √1600
v = 40 m/s
=> 40 m/s is a final velocity
