Given :

Initial velocity of the car = zero.

Acceleration of the car = 3m/s².

Time taken = 1 min = 60 sec.

To find :

The final velocity of the car.

Solution :

Velocity is the rate of displacement of a moving object over time.

  • Velocity is vector quantity having both magnitude and direction.
  • SI unit of velocity is metre per second.

As we are provided with initial velocity, acceleration and time taken we can use first equation of kenimatics that is,

v = u + at

where,

  • v denotes final velocity
  • u denotes initial velocity
  • a denotes acceleration
  • t denotes time taken

substituting the given values,

➛ v = u + at

➛ v = 0 + (3)(60)

➛ v = (3)(60)

➛ v = 180m/s.

thus, the final velocity of the car is 280m/s.

  • Velocity = u + at

Substituting the values,

=> v = u + at

=> v = 0 + (3)(60)

=> v = (3)(60)

=> v = 180m/sec Ans.
