if it starts from rest then it's initial velocity is 0

and then given that it's final velocity is 72 km/h

which is 72 × 5/18 = 4×5 = 20 m/s

time is 3 minutes which is 3 × 60 sec = 180 sec

you can solve by taking the formula of acceleration or by using first and second equation of motion it depends on you!

v=u + at

20=0+a × 180

20=180a

20/180=a

1/6=a

0.166666 .... recurring

s= u + 1/2 at^2

s=0+1/2×1/6× 180 × 180

s=15×180

s=2700
