Given :

  • Initial velocity, u = 0 m/s

  • Time, t = 1 second

  • Distance, s = 100 m

To find :

  • Acceleration, a

According to the question,

By using Newtons second equation of motion,

s = ut + ½ at²

Where,

  • s = Distance
  • a = Acceleration
  • u = Initial velocity
  • t = Time

➞ Substituting the values,

➞ 100 = 0 × 1 + ½ × a × 1 × 1

➞ 100 = 0 + ½ a

➞ 100 - 0 = ½ a

➞ 100 = ½ a

➞ 200 = a

So,the acceleration is 200 m/s².
