Given :

  • Initial velocity = 0 m/s
  • Acceleration = 2 m/s²
  • Time = 5 s

To find :

  • Speed of the car after 5 seconds

Knowledge required :-

→ First equation of motion -

  • v = u + at

→ Third equation of motion -

  • v² - u² = 2as

where,

  • v = Final velocity
  • u = Initial velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • s = speed

Solution :

Firstly, we will find the final velocity using the first equation of motion.

⠀⠀⠀⇒ v = u + at

⠀⠀⠀⇒ v = 0 + (2 × 5)

⠀⠀⠀⇒ v = 0 + 10

⠀⠀⠀⇒ v = 10

  • Final velocity of the car = 10 m/s

Speed of the car after 5 seconds = 10 m/s
