Here,
u = 0 m/s
a = 5m/s^2 for 8 seconds
So, distance traveled in 8 second
s = ut + 1/at^2
s = 1/2 × 5 × 64
s = 160 m
Now, final velocity at 8 second
As, v = u + at
v = 0 + 5× 8
v = 40 m/s
Now using , S = vt [ acceleration is 0]
s2 = 40 × 4 [ remaining time = 4 second]
s2 = 160 m
Total distance traveled = s1 + s2 = (160 + 160)m = 320 m
