Explanation:

initial velocity = 0 m/s

acceleration = -1.5 m/s²

time = 5 sec

final velocity=?

distance = ?

v = u + at

= 0 - 1.5(5)

= -7.5 m/s

(Velocity is in a direction opposite to direction of motion)

v² - u² = 2as

(7.5 x 7.5) - 0 = 2 x 1.5 x s

s = (5 x 7.5)/2 = 2.5 x 7.5 = 18.75 m
