Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s --(At rest)
  • Time taken (t) = 5 seconds
  • Acceleration (a) = 12 m/s²
  • Force (F) = 14400 N

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Final velocity (v)
  • Mass(m)
  • Distance travelled (s)

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

On using (1) equation of motion, we get,

v = u + at

v = 0 + 12 × 5

v = 60 m/s

Hence,

  • Final velocity (v) = 60 m/s

Now,

On applying third equation of motion, we get,

- = 2as

(60)² - (0)² = 2×12 × s

3600 = 24s

s = 3600/24

s = 150 m

Hence,

  • Distance travelled (s) = 150 m

Now,

We know that,

Force (F) = Mass (m) × Acceleration (a)

F = ma

14400 = m × 12

12m = 14400

m = 14400/12

m = 1200 kg

Hence,

  • Mass (m) = 1200 kg

Therefore,

  • Distance travelled (s) = 150 m
  • Mass (m) = 1200 kg
