GiVen:

  • A car starts from rest.
  • Its speed at t = 5s is 25 m/s.

To find:

  • The distance travelled by it after 10s.

Solution:

• Let u be 0 m/s as it starts from rest.

Here,

  • V = 25 m/s
  • u = 0 m/s

• Let's calculate acceleration.

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

« Now, By using first equation of motion,

As we know that,

  • V = u + at

→ 25 = 0 + a × 5

→ a = 25/5

a = 5 m/s²

∴ Hence, Acceleration is 5 m/s².

« Now, By using second equation of motion,

As we know that,

  • S = ut + 1/2 at²

→ S = 0 × 10 + 1/2 × 5 × 10²

→ S = 0 + 50 × 5

→ S = 250m

∴ Hence, Distance travelled by the car is 250 m.
