the car takes 10hrs to cover a distance at the speed of 40kmph , do the distance covered is 40×10 = 400 km
now if the speed is increased by 10 kmph then
resulting speed is 40+10=50kmph.
so it has to cover a distance of 400km with the speed of 50kmph
so time taken by car to travel 400 km at the speed of 50kmph is.
=>400/50=8
so the car takes 8hrs time to cover a distance of 400km at the speed of 50kmph.
now if the speed is increased by 10 kmph then
resulting speed is 40+10=50kmph.
so it has to cover a distance of 400km with the speed of 50kmph
so time taken by car to travel 400 km at the speed of 50kmph is.
=>400/50=8
so the car takes 8hrs time to cover a distance of 400km at the speed of 50kmph.
