Speed in 1st case = DISTANCE/ TIME

100/1 = 100km/ hr

Speed in 2nd case = DISTANCE/ TIME

0.5/20 = 0.45km/hr

Average = 100+0.45/2

= 100.45/2

= 50.225km/hr

Hope you understood!
