Explanation:

Given :

Time taken = 10 hours

Displacement = 500km

Sol.

10 hours = 10 × 60 = 600 minutes

600 minutes = 600 × 60 = 36000 seconds

500km = 500× 1000 = 500000 metres

Formula:-

velocity =  \frac{displacement}{time}

velocity = 500000 / ( 36000)

Therefore, velocity = 2.777777778 metres/second.

vavg /vman 5/9

Explanation:

vavg = distplasment / total time

vavg = 500/10

vavg = 50 km/h

ratio of vavg to vman

vavg/vman 50/90=5/9
