A car takes 10 hrs to cover a certain distance at a speed of 40km/h. Find the time taken if its speed is increased by 10km/hr.

Speed = 40 km/hr

Distance = speed × time = 10×40 = 400 km

The distance remains same.

Now, speed is increased by 10 km/hr, so new speed = 40+10 = 50 km/hr

Time = 400/50 = 8 hrs

The car will take 8 hrs if the speed is increased by 10 km/hr.
