Given data : A car takes 20 minutes to cover a distance of 15 km.

To find : Calculate its speed in km/h and m/s.

Solution : Now, according to given,

⟹ Time taken by car = 20 minute

⟹ Dustance covered by car = 15 km

Now, we need to convert, km to minute

⟹ 15 km = 15 * 1000 = 15000 metre

similarly, minute to seconds

⟹ 20 minute = 20 * 60 = 1200 seconds

Now, by formula

⟹ speed = distance/time

⟹ speed = 15000/1200

⟹ speed = 25/2

⟹ speed = 12.5 m/s

Now, we need to convert, minute to hour

⟹ 20 minute = 20/60 = 1/3 hour

Now, by formula

⟹ speed = 15/ ⅓

⟹ speed = 15 * 3

⟹ speed = 45 km/hr

Answer : Hence, the speed of car is 45 km/hr in km/hr and 12.5 m/s in m/s.
