answer

3 HOURS

GIVEN:::::

CAR 1 : SPEED 60KMPH

TIME 4 HOURS

DISTANCE TRAVELLED=X(240km)

CAR 2 : SPEED 80KMPH

TIME = WE HAVE TO FIND OUT

DISTANCE TRAVELED =X(240km)

TO FIND::::::

TIME TAKEN BY CAR 2 TO REACH IT'S DESTINATION (X) AT A SPEED OF 80KMPH

FORMULA USED::::

DISTANCE = SPEED×TIME

HOW TO FIND:::::

BOTH CARS (1,2) TRAVEL THE SAME DISTANCE (X) BUT AT DIFFERENT SPEED AND TIME

SO,

DISTANCE(CAR 1) = DISTANCE(CAR2)

OR,

60 × 4 = 80 × TIME

TIME = 60 × 4 / 80

TIME = 240 / 80

TIME = 3 HOURS

ANSWER:::::

TIME TAKEN BY CAR 2 TO COVER A DISTANCE OF X AT A SPEED OF 80KMPH IS::::

3 HOURS
