A car takes 6s to increase its velocity from 20m/s to 50 m/s. What is its average
acceleration?

Explanation:

We know,

Velocity = acceleration x time,

v = at                                      (iii)

According to question,

Velocity = 50 m/s - 20 m/s.

v = 30 m/s.                               (i)

time = 6 s.                                (ii)

Put values from (i) and (ii) in (iii),

30 = a x 6

30/6 = a

5 metre per second square = acceleration.

⇒v = u + at

⇒50 = 20 + a * 6
