If the distance of the fist trip is 30 km & the speed is 30 km/h than the time taken is 30 ÷ 30 = 1hr
Next trip
Distance= 30 km
Speed= 60km/h
Time= 30 ÷ 60 = 0.5hr
The total time taken in the journey = 1.5 hrs
Total distance covered by the journey=90 km
Therefore the average speed = 90÷1.5 = 60 km/h
Next trip
Distance= 30 km
Speed= 60km/h
Time= 30 ÷ 60 = 0.5hr
The total time taken in the journey = 1.5 hrs
Total distance covered by the journey=90 km
Therefore the average speed = 90÷1.5 = 60 km/h
