Given :

  • A car is travelling at a speed of 40km/hr.
  • It travelled for 15 seconds.

To Find :

  • The distance travelled .

Solution :

We know that ,

\boxed{\red{\bf \blue{\bigstar}\:\: Distance=Speed\times Time}}

First of all convert 40km/hr in m/s. For this Multiply it by 5/18 .

= 40 × 5/18 m/s

= 11.11 m/s .

=> Distance = speed × time .

=> Distance = 11.11 m/s × 5 s.

=> Distance = 55.55 m.

Answer:

166.666666 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

speed of A = 40km/h

= 40000m/60min.

= 40000m/3600sec.

A can travel 40000m in 3600sec.

Distance traveled by A in 1sec. = 40000/3600m

= 400/36 m

= 100/9 m

Distance traveled by A in 15 sec .

= 100/9 × 15 m

= 500/3 m

= 166.66 meters
