The average velocity is equal to 32m/s-24m/s=8m/s

Let total time be t.

velocity during 1/4t

24 = 4d₁/t.      d₁ = 6t

Velocity during 3/4t

32 = 4d₂/3t.    d₂ = 24t

Average velocity = Total distance / total time

V = d₁+d₂/t

V = 30t/t

V = 30 m/s
