A car moves on a straight road for the first half of the total time with a constant speed of 2020 m/s and for the second half with a constant speed of 6060 m/s. We want to determine its average speed.

Let the total time taken be 22 seconds.

⇒⇒ For 11 second the car travels with a constant speed of 2020 m/s and for 11 second it travels with a constant speed of 6060 m/s.

⇒⇒ During the first second the car covers a distance of 2020 m and during the second second it covers a distance of 6060 m.

⇒⇒ The total distance travelled is 20+60=8020+60=80 m during a total time of 22 seconds.

⇒⇒ Average speed =Total distance coveredTotal time taken=802=40=Total distance coveredTotal time taken=802=40 m/s.

hope it will help you
