Given,

A car traveled on the highway at 65miles per hour for time period of 45 minutes.

To find,

distance covered by the car during this time period of it's journey.

Main solution:

Firstly,

let's convert time taken into hours.

1 min = 1/60 hour

Therefore, 45 min = (1×45)/60 hours

= 0.75 hour

Now,

Time taken = 0.75 hour

Speed = 64 miles per hour

Distance covered = ?

We know,

Speed = Distance covered/ time (i)

From (i),

Distance covered = Speed × time taken

Substituting the values , we get :-

Distance covered = 65 × 0.75

 = 65 \times \frac{75}{100}

 = 13 \times \frac{75}{20}

 = 13 \times \frac{15}{4}

 = \frac{195}{4}

 = 48.75miles

Answer => 48.75 miles
