A car traveling at 60km/hr left Dehradun at 3 pm. One hour later another car traveling at 80km/hr started over same road to overtake the first car. How long must the second car travel to overtake the first car? ​??????

D = v[t] . On overtaking ,both travel the same distance .

Let t = time the 2 nd car travels , then

80t =60[t+1]

20t =60

t=3 hrs

t+1=4 hrs

D=80[3]= 60[4]=240 km =overtaking distance.
