A car travelled at a speed of 60 km/hr in the first hour, 50 km/hr in the second hour and 40 km/hr in the third hour.


Find the car's average speed per hour.

To complete 1km distance with speed =50kmhr it tkes time t1=501s

To complete 1km distance with speed =40kmhr it tkes time t1=401s

Average speed=(1/50)+(1/40)1+1=44.44m/s

V1=60kmph

V2=50kmph

V3=40kmph

average speed=V1+V2+V3/3

I. e, 60+50+40/3

=150/3

=50

average speed=50
