Answer:

0.5 m/s²

Explanation:

u = 54 km/h = 15 m/s

v = 72 km/h = 20 m/s

t = 10 s

v = u + a*t

20 = 15 + a * 10

20 - 15 = 10a

5 = 10a

a = 5/10

a = 0.5

0.5m/s²

given

Initial velocity (u) = 54km/h

54 \times \frac{1000}{3600}  ms

= 15m/s

final velocity (v) = 72km/h

72 \times \frac{1000}{3600} ms

= 20m/s

time (t) = 10 sec.

to find

acceleration of the car

solution

We solve this question in two ways

By using first equation of motion

v = u +at

20 = 15 + a× 10

20 = 15 + 10a

20 - 15 = 10a

5 = 10 a

5/10 = a

0.5 = a

a= 0.5m/s²

By using the formula of acceleration

a =  \frac{v - u}{t}

a  =  \frac{20 - 15}{10}

a =  \frac{5}{10}

a = 0.5 m/s²

I hope this help you to understand your problem

Thank you
