Speed of the car = 20km/hr = 20 × 5/18 m/s
= 50/9 m/s
From the kinematic equation v = u + at
Since the car comes to rest.. final velocity = 0
0 = 50/9 + a 30. ( t = 30sec)
- 50 / 9 = a . 30
a = - 50/9 × 1/30
a = 1.9 m/s² ( apprx ).
