Answer:

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Mass of the car = 400kg

Initial velocity (u) = 36km/hr = 10m/s

Final velocity (v) = 0

Distance (S) = 100m

Applying v^2-u^2=2as

0^2 - 10^2 = 2×a×100

100 = 200a

a = -0.5

Retardation = -(a) = -(-0.5)

Retardation = 0.5m/s^2

Retarding force = Mass × retardation

= 400 × 2 = 800N

Applying s=ut+1/2at^2

100 = 10×t+1/2×0.5×t^2

t = 100 = 10.25

t = 9sec
