Given :

▪ Speed if car = 60kmph

▪ Time of journey = 1/4h

To Find :

▪ Distance covered by car.

Concept :

↗ Speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.

↗ It is a scalar quantity.

↗ It has only magnitude.

↗ It can't be negative or zero.

↗ SI unit : m/s

Calculation :

→ Speed = Distance/Time

→ 60 = Distance/(1/4)

→ 60 = Distance × 4

→ Distance = 60/4

Distance = 15 km

●Speed of car - 60km/h

●Time taken by car- 1/4h

■ Distance = speed × time

= 60km/h × 1/4h

= 15km.

Hence, distance travelled by car is 15km.
