\underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \rm{ \purple{ \huge{Answer}}}}}}

Given :

A car travells half the time with 40 kmph and half with 60 kmph.

To Find :

Average speed of the car ??

Formula :

Formula of speed is given by

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \dag \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \rm{ \pink{speed =  \frac{distance}{time}}}}}}  \:  \dag

Calculation :

Let, car covers total distance in 2t time.

 \implies \rm \: v_{av} =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}  \\  \\  \therefore \rm \: v_{av} =  \frac{v_1t + v_2t}{t + t}  =  \frac{v_1 + v_2}{2}  \\  \\  \therefore \rm \: v_{av} =  \frac{40 + 60}{2}  \\  \\  \therefore \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \rm{ \orange{v_{av} = 50 \: kmph}}}}}
