case 1
speed of car - 60km/h
distance- 10km
speed=distance/time
60=10/time
time=10/60
time=1/6hr

case 2
speed =40km/hr
distance=10
speed=dis/time
40=10/time
time=10/40=1/4hr

average speed=total distance/total time
a.v=10+10
--------------
1/6+1/4
a.v=20
------------
10/24
a.v=20×24/10

a.v=48km/hr

prajjwalrai: for distance1 time = put 40km/h = 10 / t.. so t = 10 /40
prajjwalrai: and for distance 2 put time = distance / speed... 10 / 60
prajjwalrai: a.v = total distance / total time
lmh: now i understnd
lmh: thanks
prajjwalrai: 10 + 10 ÷ 10 / 40 +10 /60
prajjwalrai: and u will get ur ans
lmh: i understood
prajjwalrai: which is 48 km / hour
prajjwalrai: 20 km / h is wrong
