A car travels 100km at a speed of 60km/h and returns with a speed of 40 kh/h. Calculate the average speed for the whole journey.

average speed is given by
v=2×v1×v2\v1+v2
soo
2×60×40\60+40=120×40\100=4800\100
=48km/ hr
