DISTANCE TRAVELED = 3.3 * 60
= 33 * 6 = 198 km

average velocity will be zero as the displacement is zero

The distance traveled by the car is 400 km  and the velocity is 0 kmph because there is no displacement

Explanation:

Given Data

A car travels 100 km east and 100 km south and return to the starting point

Speed through out the journey = 60 km per hour

Time taken = 3.3 hour

To find - total distance traveled by the car

            -  Velocity of the car

The car travels,

From starting point to east = 100 km

From east to south = 100 km

From South to east = 100 km

From East to starting point = 100 km

Therefore, the total distance covered by the cover = 100 + 100 + 100 + 100

the total distance covered by the cover  = 400 km

Velocity is defined as the ratio of displacement and time

Velocity = Displacement ÷ time

since there is no displacement , then the value of displacement is zero

Velocity = 0 ÷ 3.3

Velocity = 0 km per hour
