Answer:

 =  >

for the first time ,

Distance=30km

speed =40km/hr

speed = distance /time

time = distance /speed

= 30 /40

(t1 ) time = 3/4

for the next time,

Distance =30km

speed =20km/hr

time = distance /speed

= 30 /20

( t2)time = 3/2

Average speed = total distance / total time

= [30+30]/[3/4+3/2]

= 60 /[18/8]

= [ 60x8 ]/18

=26.66 km /hr

Average speed is 26.66km/hr
