In the first case
V=40km/h
S=30km
T=s/t=30/40=3/4h
In the second case
V=20km/h
S=30km
T=s/t=3/2h
Average speed =total distance /total time=30+30km/3/2+3/4h
Calculate it and you will get the answer!!
