A car travels 30 km at uniform speed of 40 km /h and the next 30 km at uniform speed of 20 km/h. Find its average speed?​

Answer:

first we find the time.

So first the car has travelled 30km with speed 40 km/h

So time=distance/speed

time=30/40

=3/4 s

Second the car travelled 30 km with speed 20km/h

time=30/20

=3/2 s

total distance =60km

we know that

average speed=total distance /total time taken

So average speed=60/3/4+3/2

=26.67km/h
