Given - Distance and time

Find - Speed

Solution - The speed is 4.2 metres/second.

Speed, distance and time are related to each other as follows -

Speed = distance/time.

Converting distance to metres.

1 kilometre = 1000 metres

30 kilometre = 30*1000

30 kilometres = 30,000 metres.

Converting hour to seconds.

1 hour = 3600 seconds

2 hours = 3600*2

2 hours = 7200 seconds.

Keep the values in the formula to find the value of speed.

Speed in metre/second = 30,000/7200

Speed = 4.2 metre/second

Thus, the speed is 4.2 metres/second.
