A car travels 30km at a uniform speed of 40 km/h and the next 30km at a uniform speed of 30 km/h.Find the average speed .

average speed = total distance/ total time taken
then , the total distance = 30+30=60 km
total time = (30/40)+(30/30)
=3/4+1=7/4
now , average speed = 60/(7/4)
= 60×4/7
= 240/7
=34.28 kmph
