the formula to find the average is a/n where 'a' is the total of observations and 'n' is the number of observations so :-
(40+20)/2
=60/2
=30
so the average speed for the whole journey was 30 km/h
(40+20)/2
=60/2
=30
so the average speed for the whole journey was 30 km/h
