It is given that in 1 hour a car can travel a distance of 40 km

We have to find the distance it can travel in 5 hours

Distance traveled in 1 hour = 40 km

Distance traveled in 5 hours = 40 × 5

                                               = 200 km

Hence, the car will travel a distance of 200 km in 5 hours.

To find : distance travelled by car .

Given : speed of car = 40 \ km / hr and time = 5 \ hrs

Solution :

  • According to question we have to find distance travelled by car .
  • We use following formula  :

         Speed =  \frac{Distance }{Time }

        40 km /hr = \frac{distance}{5} \\distance = \frac{40 \ km /hr}{5 \ hr }   \\
