Answer :

Distance travelled by car = 400km

Time of journey = 10h

We have to find average speed of car.

What is Speed !

Speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.

It's a scalar quantity having only magnitude.

SI unit : m/s

⇒ Speed = Distance / Time

⇒ Speed = 400/10

Speed = 40km/h

Conversion (km/h ⟶ m/s) :-

➝ 1km/h = 5/18 m/s

➝ 40km/h = 40×5/18 = 11.11m/s

Speed = 40km/h = 11.11m/s
