a car travels 40km/hr for 2hrs,at 50km/hr for the next 3hrs and finally at 30km/hr for 1hr.find; a. the total distance traveled by the car in km b. the average speed of the car in km/hr and m/s.

Let us find the distance..

=> 1st solution:

Distance = speed × time
x = 40 × 2
x = 80 km

=> 2nd solution:
(by same formula)
d = s×t
x =50×3
x =150 km

=> 3rd solution :
(by same formula)
d = s×t
x = 30 × 1
x =30 km

=> Final solution: (for a. question)
Total distance covered by a car = 80 km +150 km+ 30 km
= 260 km

=>Solution ( for b. question)
speed = distance / time
x = 260 / 6 (by adding all hrs)
x = 43.33 km/h

43.33 km/h = 12.036111 m/s
