Explanation:

for 1st 50kms, velocity = 25km/h

=>time taken= distance/speed= 50/25 = 2hr

for next 60kms, velocity = 20km/h

=>time = 60/20= 3hr

for another 60km, velocity= 20km/h

=>time=60/20= 3h

as the direction of car was same all the time,

total distance covered= 50+60+60=170km= total displacement

and total time = 2+3+3 =8h

so avg. velocity = displacement/time = 170/8 = 21.25km/h
