Hey there!

Distance covered by car in 4 L = 50 km

Distance covered by car in 1 L = 50 / 4 = 12.5 km

Now,

Distance covered by car in 20 L = 20 * 12.5

Distance covered by car in 20 L = 250 km

Hope It Helps You!

Concept:

The best way to find solution of problems relating to distance per liter or speed is to convert them to unity i.e. to convert them to either distance in 1 hour or 1 liter

Given:

a car travels 50 km in 4 liter

Find:

We are required to find the distance covered by the car in 20 liters of petrol if it travels 50 km in 4 liters

Solution:

By considering the given data,

distance covered in 4 liters of petrol = 50 km

therefore, distance covered in 1 liter of petrol = 50/4 =12.5 km

therefore, distance covered by car in 20 liters of petrol = 12.5 x 20 = 300km

Hence, the car travels 300 km in 20 liters of petrol
