HELLO DEAR,

now, net distance along x-direction.

Sx= 6cos45°-4cos45°

Sx= 2cos45°

Sx = 2*1/root2= root2km

net distance along y-direction

Sy= 6cos45°+4cos45°

Sy= 10cos45°

Sy= 10*1/root2= 5root2 km

net distance travelled from the starting point ,

Root(Sx)^2+(Sy)^2

Root(root2) ^2 +(5root2) ^2

Root(2+50)

Root(52)

now,the angle which resultant make with east direction

Tan(theta) = y-componenet/x-component

Tan(theta) = 5root2/ root2 = 5

Theta= tan^1(5)

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,

THANKS
