If it covers 80km in 2 hours it means that 1 km =120 minutes/80km

Also,140km=120/80*140=3/2*140=210 minutes

The answer is 210 minutes or 210/60=3 and half hour.

Hope it helps.

Distance

d1 = 80km

d2 = 140km

Time

t1 = 2 hrs

t2 =?

As we know,

speed  =  \frac{distnce}{time}

And for both the conditions speed is same

 \frac{d1}{t1}  =  \frac{d2}{t2}

 \frac{180}{2}  =  \frac{140}{t2}

90 =  \frac{140}{t2}

t2 =  \frac{140}{90}

t2 = 1.56

Thus time taken to cover 140 kms is 1.56hrs
