A car travels a certain distance with 42 km h- for
20 minutes and the remaining distance at 60 km
h' for 30 minutes. What is its average speed of the
whole journey?​

Distance Covered with speed 42 km/hr for 20 minutes

=1/3 *42                          (20 min=1/3hrs)

=14 km

Distance Covered with speed 60 km/hr for 30 minutes

=1/2 *60                          (30 min=1/2hrs)

=30 km

Average Speed = Total Distance/Total Time Taken

                          =(14+30)/(50)

                          =34 *60/50

                          =2040/50

                          =40.8 km/hr
