A car travels a certain distance with a speed of 50km/h and returned with speed speed of 40km/h. Calculate the average speed for hole journey

use formula of total distance travel / total time taken
so distance travel 50km /h and time taken?
speed = 40km/h
so, here 50/40 = 5/4

Let be distance x at 50 km/hr

Now as x ÷ 50

Same x at 40 km/hr

So x ÷ 40

Total distance = 2x km

Total time :-

= x ÷ 50 + x ÷ 40

Average speed = Total distance ÷ Total time taken

= (x ÷ 50 + x ÷ 40) / 2x

= 2 × 50 × 40 ÷ 50 + 40

= 44.4 km/hr
