Answer:

(i) Speed = 45 km/hr

(ii) Speed = 12.5 m/s.

Explanation:

\blue\bigstarGiven -

  • Distance = 15 km.
  • Time = 20 mins.

\purple\bigstarTo Find-

  • (i) km h^-1
  • (ii) m s^-1

\pink\bigstarSolution -

\red\implies Formula to be used -

\tt\pink{speed=\frac{distance}{time}}

\orange\implies Answer(i)Speed in km/hr.

\rightarrow 20 mins to hours = \frac{20}{60}=\frac{1}{3}

 =  \frac{15}{1}  \div  \frac{1}{3}  \\  \\  =  \frac{15}{1}  \times  \frac{3}{1}  \\  \\  = 15 \times 3 \\  \\ 45

Speed = 45 km/hr.

\green\implies Answer (ii)Speed in m/s -

\rightarrow 15 km to m = 15×1000 = 15000 m

\rightarrow 20 mins to secs = 20×60= 1200 s.

 =  \frac{15000}{1200}  \\  \\  = 12.5Speed= 12.5 m/s.
