Answer:

Given : Distance (D) = 15km = 15000m

Time (t) = 20 mins = 0.33 Hour = 1200 sec

Speed  = Distance/Time

S = D/t

i) S = 15/0.33 = 45 Km/h

ii) S = 15000/1200 = 12.5 m/s

Hope it Helps :)

Answer :-

  • Speed of car in km/h-¹ = 45.45km/h-¹
  • Speed of car in m/s-¹ = 12.5m/s-¹

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • Speed of car in km/h-¹ and m/s-¹

Solution

Given that,

  • Distance covered by car = 15km
  • Time taken by the car = 20 mins.

Firstly, Converting the distance from "km" to "m" :-

15km = 15000m

Converting the time from "mins" to "hours" and "seconds" :-

20 mins = 0.33 hours

20 mins = 1200 seconds.

Now, According the question,

We know,

Speed = Distance/Time,

Therefore,

Speed of car in km/h-¹ :-

Distance/Time

15/0.33

45.45 km/h-¹

Speed the car in m/s-¹ :-

Distance/Time

15000/1200

150/12

12.5 m/s-¹
