Answer:

Avg. speed =Total Dist./Total time

Here,TD=180+30+200=410km

TT=3+2+1=6hr

So,

avg. speed =410/6=68.33km/h

Given,

Distances traveled by car:

180 km in 3 h,

30 km in 1 h, and,

200 km in 2 h.

To find,

The average speed of the car.

Solution,

When different distances are covered in different intervals of time, then the average speed is given by,

average \hspace{3} speed = \frac{total\hspace{3} distance\hspace{3} traveled}{total\hspace{3} time\hspace{3} taken}

Where,

total distance traveled = sum of all the different distances covered, and,

total time taken is = the sum of all the time durations.

So, for the given car, we have,

total distance = 180 + 30 + 200 = 410 km, and,

total time taken = 3 + 1 + 2 = 6 hours.

Thus, the average speed will be,

average \hspace{3} speed = \frac{410}{6}

average speed = 68.33 km/h

Therefore, the average speed of the car is 68.33 km/h.
