Speed of car in 2nd half time =V2

So.. It travelled with different speeds in same intervals of time

Therfore, t1=t2=t

Average speed =V1t1+V2t2/t1+t2

=V1t+V2t/t+t

=(V1+V2) t /2t

=V1+V2/2
